Join our hospice retail team as a Deputy Charity Shop Manager, supporting our charity shops across Cornwall. You’ll step into different stores throughout the week – helping to lead, inspire, and support our incredible teams of volunteers – while raising vital funds for local hospice care.
From picturesque coastal towns to busy high streets and rural communities, each location brings something new. You’ll meet and work alongside a diverse mix of people – from passionate volunteers and loyal local shoppers to visiting tourists and cruise ship day-trippers. And with no two days the same, this is the perfect role for someone who loves a challenge and thrives on human connection.
What you’ll do as a Deputy Charity Shop Manager
- Support the running of shops across Cornwall – stepping in where needed
- Lead and motivate our volunteer teams in different locations
- Deliver excellent customer service with heart and warmth
- Embrace the challenges of new environments and different shop styles
- Champion inclusive volunteering and help people from all backgrounds feel valued
- Make each shop visit count by boosting sales, morale, and community engagement
What you’ll bring
- Experience in retail or charity shop environments
- A flexible, adaptable attitude – and a genuine love for people
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Confidence to take initiative and settle quickly into new settings
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly
